Alabama Senior Citizens Age 55 and UP

Alabama drivers age 55 and up and take our state approved mature driver improvement course online as a refresher to updated Alabama driving laws and to get an auto insurance discount.  Most major car insurance providers offer the mature driver discounts, which vary from 5%-20% off your current rate.

Alabama drivers 55 and older can receive a government-mandated auto insurance discount for seniors by taking a defensive driving course. The eligible age, as well as the discount amount, varies by state. Some of these classes can be taken online from the comfort of your home, while others are offered in person.

You can get the auto insurance senior discount by taking our course through partner iDriveSafely. Most courses cost around $20 or slightly higher in some areas, which is certainly worth it for the insurance savings. Remember, the discount amount will depend on where you live and your insurance provider.

This course is very easy and you can take it in your spare time at your convenience.  You don't have to complete it all at once, though many people do.  You can finish it anyone, there's no time limit.

Most of the course is in a follow-along format in either audio, read along, and watch fun animations.

Check with your auto insurance company or insurance agent for rate details.
